Health is just something that
should not be neglected at any time of the year, no matter what the reason.
Yet, when the winter weather hits, the most horrible bits of the weather may
mandate that you remain indoors and thus outdoor activity will be limited.
Five
Wintertime Exercises That Can Be Done Indoors
The fact does in fact remain that
there are exercises to be done indoors, with the snow is down. On those dismal
days when you have nothing else better to do, there are far worse options than
performing these exercises.
1.
Weight Lifting
You do not have to be a weight
lifting professional to use them. Even a small set of weights of around 3 to 5
pounds and curls will keep an individual fitter than most during the winter
months.
2.
Stationary Bicycle
Riding a bicycle can be a good
form of exercise. If a person has some money to burn, then riding a stationary
bicycle for approximately thirty to forty five minutes per day can be far from
one of the worst things that you can do. The bike can be adjusted as well to
allow for you to pump those legs harder but it is not recommended that you
stress yourself too much at once.
3.
Sit Ups
Ten sets of ten sit ups a day can
really keep those abs toned and that belly down. Some people tend to do more
sit ups but you want to keep the sit ups to a reasonable amount. Especially
given the fact that doing too many sit ups at once could cause some painful
strain. It is best with sit ups to work yourself up.
4.
Wall Squats
Wall squats are another exercise
that can be helpful but a slow start might be required so to not strain your
leg muscles. Wall squats really do in fact help out, all you need is a wall,
which most people tend to have available in their homes.
5.
Walking
Many people walk outside, but who
is to stop you from walking around the perimeter of your house as often as
necessary, indoors. There is absolutely nothing stopping you of course. If you
have stairs inside your home (and most homes tend to), then do walk up and down
the stairs.
The winter is coming but there is
no reason to stall the level of activity that you’ll need to live a healthy
lifestyle.
